Frequently Asked Questions
I require a signed contract and non-refundable retainer fee to book the date for all weddings and portrait sessions. We officially have paperless contracts, and retainers that can be paid with credit/debit card via Stripe. Following your inquiry, the contract and invoice are emailed and must be completed on receipt, unless otherwise arranged.
Yes, I do! After the non-refundable retainer fee is paid, you can pay as much as you like per month or pay the balance in full. There is not a set payment amount, however the total balance is due in full 4 weeks before the wedding date and prior to all portrait sessions. Payments or balance can be made electronically through your invoice, Venmo, or by check. There is a $50 fee for all returned checks.
I encourage brides to get in touch with (and book!) your desired photographer as soon as possible so you don't miss out on who you want. That goes for all vendors really, book as soon as you can! General portrait sessions are much more flexible, but I always tell potential clients to book as soon as they can! Whatever the occasion, touch base with me as soon as possible!
Portrait sessions are generally delivered within 2-3 weeks. Due to the depth of wedding photography, I allow for at least 8 weeks. But stay tuned to our Facebook and Instagram for sneak peeks! **SJ Couples: it's been my goal to text a small preview of your wedding images to you within 24 hours of leaving the reception. You know, while everyone is still excited from how fun and pretty your wedding was!**
Weddings average 25-35 images per hour, but this number also depends on the details and size of your wedding. If your wedding package includes a second shooter then that adds additional images as well! Portrait sessions include 50-150 images depending on the type of session and the size of your group and session.
If you are planning a destination wedding or aren't local, please don't let that deter you from chatting with me. I absolutely love to travel and it would be a thrill to work with you wherever you are headed or would like me to go! I travel up to 30 miles for weddings and sessions. Travel fees and/or housing arrangements may have to be made for further travel, destination sessions or late wedding and receptions. Ask me about my bucket list destination locations!
The retainer is non-refundable in the event of a cancelation, however I am more than happy to transfer your contract and retainer to a new date if one is available. In the event of a postponement or rescheduled wedding, retainer and any paid balance can be put towards a new date. Additional price adjustments may be applied.

I'm so glad you're interested in this! I started offering gorgeous, professional prints in Spring 2018 and albums in 2023! The albums are gorgeous and are perfect for showing off your wedding images or using your engagement photos for a guest book album at your wedding! The prints are perfect gifts for parents and grandparents, or to display on the walls of your home. Other products available are metal prints which are probably my new favorite!
