Gray - Ward Wedding

Heading to Elizabethtown, Kentucky for the Gray-Ward wedding, I knew that it was going to be an extraordinarily special day. This sweet, incredibly in-love couple met awhile back through their workplace and as the bride says, they were "friends". After (I'm sure) much prayer and consideration, the two started dating and soon after got engaged.

The bride, Emily, and I have been friends since we were in college at WKU and she has recently gone back to nursing school to finish her degree. Due to her class schedule, Emily wasn't able to plan the whole day out by herself so like every great occasion, a community came together to assist.

The groom, Jacob, was covering the planning and I must say...WOW!! Jacob created a sweet, intimate wedding shared between him and his bride and their friends and family. Walking in, I couldn’t help but notice right away several wooden ladders wrapped in lights, flawless floral arrangements, an array of photo displays, and more and more of the little details that starting popping out.

Tin was a big feature of the venue which was the perfect complement - but not too much - for the tin decor!

“I just want to marry him and it will be perfect no matter what,” Emily told me about the wedding planning process and wedding day, adding, "God definitely gave me more than I ever dreamed of. He and I are on cloud 9."

I really think that's true, just look at those smiles!

I find that one of the best things about small weddings is that they lend themselves to especially tender moments. They also somehow feel a little more at ease, and that’s exactly what the vibe was on this beautiful day in September. I’ll leave you with a few more of my favorite moments from the day, and with a big congrats to the newlyweds!
