Maysn Turns ONE!
One of my favorite things to do for sessions, other than ordering the cake and the actually shooting part, is planning. In this introductory, six month period, I've had a blast planning out each session and shopping for the items that will make perfect first birthday pictures.
We had this sweet little in the studio a few weeks ago and all I can say is Oh. My! For one, she's adorable! And I mean, let's talk about the drama.... because it's perfect.
Yep, that's a priceless picture. For me, those moments really capture the essence of being one. It's that fun age, but also the pre-"terrible-twos" era.... (is there a name for that yet?)

I loved the theme Maysn's mom picked. Purple was actually on my dream color list and the cow idea was simply too cute. I drew out the whole set-up weeks in advance and ordered everything (except for the cow balloons which Maysn's mom ordered and sent me a few days before). This was my first helium balloon adventure and that too was a learning experience! Here are some other favorites:

Planning this cake smash was an absolute joy and left me so excited for the next session I do. I've decided that these birthday sessions are just as fun for me! Happy 1st Birthday, Maysn Claire!
